State of Tennessee, Sumner County. This Indenture made this twenty ninth of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & thirty two between Joseph Eatson of the State of Tennessee Sumner County of the one part & John Wesley Bruce of the county and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the Sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid by the Said John W. Bruce at and before the in sealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by these presents have granted bargained sold aliened dreseased & confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien infeiff release & confirm unto the said John W. Bruce & to his heirs & assigns all my tract of land lying on the ridge on the waters of Red river in the County of Sumner State Tennessee Containing one hundred acres bounded as follows to wit:
Beginning at a white oak Ja___ Sumers South West corner running North with Sumers line one hundred poles to a black oak Owen Whites corner thence West with his line one hundred and Sixty poles to a Stake in Coles line thence South with Coles line one hundred poles to Martins corner of his 100 acre tract thence ____ Martins line one hundred & sixty poles to the Beginning with the heridetaments & appurtenances to have & to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said John W. Bruce his heirs & assigns forever in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

State of Tennessee Sumner County May Term 1832. Deed of bargain & Sale from Joseph Eatson to John W. Bruce for one hundred acres of land was duly acknowledged in open court by bargainer & ordered to be registered.
