This indenture made this second day of February in the year of our Lord 1842 John Sarver Jr of the county of Allen and State of Kentucky, Jeremiah Sarver Jr attorney in fact for Samuel Sarver Sr of the county of Giles and state of Virginia Mary Sarver of the County of Sumner and State Tennesse John Rippy and Josiah Rippy for himself and his children of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee of the first part and Jeremiah Sarver Sr of the second part witnessith that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars and fifty cents to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged & have this day bargained, sold, divided and forever quit claim to and in sixty acres land lying and being in this county of Sumner state of Tennessee on the waters of the middle fork of Drakes Creek & bounded as follows (to wit) beginning at a post oak John Sarvers north east corner running East 68 poles to a black oak. Thence south 141 poles to two post oaks, thence west 68 poles to a post singular the property and advantages to the said land belonging or in any wise appertaining the said party of this first part for themselves, their heirs, executors or adminstrators covenant and agree with the said party of the first part to warrant the title to said party of the second part against themselves or any other persons claiming from or under them in witness whereas the said party of the first part have hereunto set there hands and affixed their seals the day and date above written.
