This Indenture made this 15th day of June One thousand eight hundred & ten between James Roney of the County of Sumner & State of Tennessee of the one part and George Lumperter of the County & State aforesaid of the Other part, Witnesseth that the said James Roney for & in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said George Lumperter before the Signing & Sealing thereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have Granted conveyed bargained sold & Confirmed & by these presents do Grant bargain sell & confirm to the said George Lumperter his heirs & assigns forever a certain lot or parcel of land in the town of Gallatin No. 12 one of the lots in the South West Square of said Town of Gallatin Containing sixty poles in the County and State above written bounded as follows, bounded on Smith Street on the South by No. Eleven on the East by No. Six on the North by James Trousdale’s line on the West to have & to hold the above described lot No. 12 or parcel of land with all the singular privileges hereditaments & appurtenances thereunto the same belonging or any wise appertaining to the said George Lumperter his heirs and assigns to the only use behoof of him the said George Lumporter his heirs & assigns forever against the legal title claim or demands of him the said Roney his heirs & assigns & against the claim of any person or persons Whatever & by these presents forever Warrant & defend as witness My hand & Seal this 15th day of June 1810. The within deed of bargain & sale between James Roney of the One part & George Lumporter of the other part for a town lot in the South West Square of Gallatin No. 12, was duly acknowledged in Open Court by the said Roney the bargainor & ordered to be registered.
