Know all men by these presents that I Solomon Suit of the County of Todd and State of Kentucky have this day bargained & sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Benjamin Roney of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee for and in consideration of Two hundred & eighteen dollars to me paid a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee on the Middle fork of Red River in Civil District No.18 the same being the same he purchased from his father William Suit together with that which was devised to him by his said father and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a Sugar tree on the bank of the Creek running South 30 W 50 poles to a stake in the land thence down the lane North 67 West 55 poles to a stake in the middle of the land thence South 30 West along the lower end of the Young apple Orchard 20 poles to a stake thence South 60 East 55 poles to a dead Post Oak thence South 30 W four poles to a hickory and dogwood thence South 3 West 82 poles to a stake large hickory Red oak and dogwood pointers Wm. T. Suits corner thence East 64 poles to a hickory thence North with Wm Suit Senr line 20 poles to a Red Oak thence North 50 East 46 poles to a dogwood and white oak thence East 10 poles to a white oak on Links line thence 34 poles to a white oak and hickory thence down the Creek with its meanders North 50 to the beginning, Containing by estimation Seventy one and a half acres be the same more or less, To have and to hold the said tract of land to the said Benjamin Roney his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said Benjamin Roney that I am lawfully seized of said land and every part thereof that it is unencumbered and that I have a good right to convey the same. I do further covenant for myself my heirs and representatives with the said Benjamin Roney to warrant and forever defend the title of said tract of land and every part thereof against the lawful claims of all and ever person or persons whatever, this 27th day of Octr 1851.

Personally appeared before me Wm. Rogers Clerk of the County Court of said County Solomon Suit the within named bargainer with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained.
