Know all men by these Presents that I William T. Suit of the County of Graves and State of Kentucky have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Benjamin Roney of the County of Sumner & State of Tennessee for and in consideration of two hundred & eighty five dollars to me paid a certain tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County of Sumner & State of Tennessee on the Middle fork of Red River in Civil District No.18 being the land allotted to me under the last Will and testament of my Grandfather Wm. Suit decd & bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a Stake at the mouth of the land on James Roney's old line, thence with his line South 44 West 69 poles to a white oak thence South with Roney's line 118 poles to a post oak marked R&S thence East 120 poles to a stake a hickory Red oak and dogwood saplings pointers Solomon Suits corner thence North 3 East 82 poles along his line to his said corner thence North 3 East 82 poles along his line to his said corner a hickory and dogwood thence North 30 East 4 poles to a dead Post Oak thence North 60 West 55 poles to a stake near an apple tree thence North 30 East along the lower end of the Young apple Orchard 20 poles to a Stake in the middle of the land Solomon Suits corner thence North 50 West along the middle of the land 56 poles to the beginning containing by Survey Ninety three & three quarters acres and twelve poles be the same more of less, To have and to hold the same to the said Benjamin Roney his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said Benjamin Roney that I am lawfully seized of the said tract of land and every part thereof that it is unencumbered and that I have a good right to convey the same. I do further covenant with the said Benjamin Roney for myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title of said land every part thereof against the lawful claim of all and ever person or persons whatever this 24th day of Octr 1851.

Personally appeared before me John L. Bugg Clerk of the County Court of said County William T. Suit the bargainer with who I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at Office this 24th day of Octr 1851.
