We Clark Jackson and J. E. E. Jackson have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Benjamin Roney and his heirs forever for the consideration of Two hundred dollars to us paid a tract of land in the State of Tennessee Sumner County and District No.18 containing by estimation forty one and three fourths acres and twelve poles be the same more or less and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a sugar tree on the bank of the Creek or River Solomon Swet's corner on Links line running thence North 40 West 25 poles to a stake on the North bank of said Creek thence North 22 West along Swet's Line 36 poles to a white oak stump by Roney's corner thence West along Roney's line 48 poles to a black oak Roney's corner thence South 44 West 51 poles to the mouth of the line Bartlett Swet's corner on J. Roney's line thence South 50 East along the lane and Road 36 poles to a stake Solomon & Bartlett Swet's corner thence along said road and along Solomon Swet's line 67 East 55 poles to a stake Solomon Swet's corner thence North 36 East 50 poles to the beginning, To have and to hold the same to the said Benjamin Roney his heirs and assigns forever. We do covenant with the said Benjamin Roney that we are lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered we do further covenant and bind ourselves our heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said Benjamin Roney his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever this 16th day of Sept 1851

I William Beadles Clerk of the County Court of Graves County in the State of Kentucky do Certify that this deed from Clark Jackson & J.E.E.C. Jackson his wife to Benjamin Roney was on this day fully proven before me by the Oaths of the subscribing witnesses thereto to be the act and deed of the said Clark Jackson and she the said T.E.E.C. Jackson being examined by me Privately and apart from her husband declared on such privy Examination the she did free and willingly Seal and deliver the said writing and wishes not to retract it and acknowledged the said writing again shown and explained to be her act and deed and consented that the same may be recorded which is hereby Certified to the Proper Offices in Tennessee for Record. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Seal of said Court done at Mayfield this 16th day of Septr AD 1851.
