Know all men by these presents that I, Jeremiah Stark, of the State of Tennessee and County of Sumner for and in consideration of a Deed to a certain tract or piece of land at the same time of the date of this Instrument the receipt of which I hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and Sold unto Thornton Stark of the said County and State and by these presents doth grant bargain and convey and confirm unto the said Thornton a certain tract of land containing by Estimation one hundred and ten acres be the same more or less lying Situate in Said County of Sumner on the waters of Turneys Branch bounded as follows: beginning at a hickory in Jeremiah Starks line thence South 73-1/2 (degrees) East one hundred and twenty purches with Said line to a white oak Stump in the old line thence South with said line one hundred and twenty six poles to a Stake old corner thence West with old line to Stark's corner thence north forty-nine degrees West with his line Eighty poles to Elm thence North 14 (degrees) East one hundred and Eight poles across the plantation to the beginning together with appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the said Described land and bargained premises with all the appurtenances and advantages thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining for the only proper use and benefit of him the Said Thornton Stark his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jeremiah Stark for himself his heirs and &C doth Covenant and agree to and with the said Thornton his heirs &C the above Described land and bargained premises to the Said Thornton his heirs &C against him his heirs &C and against the lawful claim or claims of all or any of persons claiming by from or under him them or any of them Shall and will warrant and forever defend in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 14th day of May one thousand eight hundred and thirty two. State of Tennessee Sumner County Court May Term 1832.
Deed of bargain and Sale from Jeremiah Stark to Thornton Stark for one hundred and ten acres of land was duly acknowledged in open Court by the bargainor and ordered to be registered.
