TRANSCRIPT HENRY A. RUTLEDGE TO SIMESON OSBURN & PINCKNEY GILBERT
200 Acres

Know all men by these presents, that I have this day bargained and sold, and do hereby bargain, sell, transfer, and convey to Simeson Osburn, and Pinkney Gilbert, their heirs and assigns for and in consideration of one hundred dollars to me paid, all my right, title and interest in and to a certain tract of land, lying and being in the county of Sumner, and State Tennessee, District No.18, being Cala??? Of a tract in the neighborhood of Isaac Ellis, and Bartholomew Osburn, containing 200 acres (two hundred) be the same more or less, and bounded as follows: on the Sourth by Alexander Duvals tract, and that of Isaac Ellis, on the East by Isaac Ellis, and Oliver Duvalls, and Mabrys land, on the North by ___tmus Jerrills land, and on the West by that of Andrew McGlothlins, To have and to hold the said tract of 200 acres to the said Osburn & Gilbert, their heirs and assigns forever. I do hereby covenant with the said Osburn & Gilbert that I am lawfully seized of said land, have a good right to convey it, and that the said land is unincumbered, and I do further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land, and every part thereof, to the said Osburn & Gilbert, their heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whatever. This 9th day of November 1846.
