Joshua Harrison to James Perry and William T. Berry

This Indenture made this 11th day of January 1842 Between Joshua Harrison of the County of Robertson & State of Tennessee of the one part and James Perry & William T. Berry of the same County & State of the other part, Witnesseth the said Joshua Harrison for & in consideration of nine hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt of which is acknowledged has bargained & sold & by these presents do bargain and sell unto the said James & William T. Berry a Certain tract of Land lying in the County of Robertson & Sumner on the road leading from Nashville Tennessee to Franklin Kentucky, on the waters of S….. Branch of Red River and bounded as follows (to wit): Beginning at a post oak on the boundary line between Zadok Bennard and Jacob Bennard decd thence South Eighty Eight poles to a red oak, thence West seventy two and three fourths poles to a large post oak, thence north two hundred and four poles with James Greens & Nathaniel McCreary's East Boundary line of McCreary's forty acre tract to a black Jack, thence East with McCreary's twenty acre survey bought of Jacob Bennard his south boundary ninety two poles to a Black oak, thence South fifty East twenty four poles to a Black Jack, thence south one hundred and two poles to a Black Jack on Jadock Bennard's north boundary line, thence west with said line thirty seven & one fourth poles to the Beginning, Containing one hundred and eighteen and three fourths acres more or less including the Jesse Turner? Good Exchange; also one other tract adjoining the former lying in the same County Beginning at a Black oak George Clarks …East Corner, thence East thirty four poles to a Black Jack in the west boundary of the above tract, thence south with said line one hundred and seventeen & three fourths poles to a stake, thence west thirty four poles to a stake, thence north one hundred & seventeen & three fourths poles to the Beginning Containing by Estimation twenty five acres more or less, To have and to hold the aforesaid tracts of land & bargained p…. with all and singular the rights & privileges to it belonging or in any wise appertaining to them the said James & William T. Berry their heirs Executors & administrators from him the said Joshua Harrison his heirs Executors or administrators and I the said Joshua Harrison for myself and my heirs will warrant & forever defend the right & title of the aforesaid land from the Just Claims of all persons whatever unto them the said James & William T. Berry their heirs Executors &C forever.
