William C. Berry to Cheatam Puckett

This Indenture made this 14th Oct 1844 in the year of our lord between Wm. C. Berry of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee of the one part and Cheatam Puckett of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Wm. C. Berry for and in consideration of the sum of _____ to him in hand paid before the delivery of these presents hath given granted sold conveyed and confirmed with the said Cheatam Pucket a tract or parcel of land situate in the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee aforesaid Lying between Robt Taylor's & Samuel McKain's and these bounded as follows: Beginning at a large oak tree Robt Taylor’s North east Corner running Asa Dorsett 106 poles on said Taylor’s line to a Stake, Thence 16 poles due east to a small white oak James McKaine Corner, thence along his line due north 106 poles to a Stake and for.. Beach J…t.. on Abraham Greenwood? Line, thence 16 poles west to the Beginning, Containing ten acres and 96 poles more or less to have and to hold to the said Cheatam Pucket his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Wm C. Berry for himself, his heirs Executors and administrators covenants with the said Cheatam Pucket that he warrant and forever defend the said tract or parcel of land with its appertanance to the sd Pucket his heirs and assigns from all persons whatsoever.
