WM. P. THOMAS TO WILLIAM C. BERRY

I Wm. P. Thomas have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to W.C. Berry his heirs forever for the consideration of one hundred & seventy dollars to me paid one tract of land in the State of Tennessee Sumner County, District No.6, containing by estimation nineteen acres, be the same more or less and bounded as follows: Beginning at a Sugar tree saplin, in Bat Barrows line running south three & a half degrees West thirty eight poles, 22 links to a stake, thence East nine poles & four links to a stake, thence South one degree West forty to poles to a stake in Zack Greens line, thence East fifty three poles & sixteen links to a small elm James Cartwright's corner, thence North one degree West forty two poles & 24 links to said Barrows corner, thence West forty poles & 9 links to a stake said Barrows corner, thence North thirty eight poles & 9 links to a stake, thence West eighteen poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the same to the said W.C. Berry his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said W.C. Berry that I am lawfully seized of said land, have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. I further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said W.C. Berry his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever.
