Will of William Hulse

Sullivan Co TN- Will Book 1 Page 115

First, it is my will that Josiah W. Crawford and John Wesley Crawford, sons of John H. Crawford, deceased, and John Cox, son of John Cox and Mary Crawford wife of William Crawford and Matilda Jane, Perey Jones and Thomas Jones and William Jones and Mary Jones and John Jones and Sim C. Jones, children of Elizabeth Jones, deceased, shall have all the farm where I live with all the appurtences thereto.

Second, it is my will that Matilda Crawford, wife of John H. Crawford, deceased, shall have full possession of the above mentioned farm, all the appurtenances thereto until her youngest child which now she has arrives to the age of 21 years.

Third, it is my will that the above mentioned persons in the first, bequeath shall pay off all expenses of a certain law suit that we are interested in, in the circuit court of Sullivan County.

Fourth, it is my will that Josiah W. Crawford, John Wesley Crawford, John Cox, son of John Cox and Mary Crawford, shall have all my mill irons belonging to the gristmill, and saw mill and also my tools of every kind.

Fourth, it is my will that the above named heirs shall pay to Brother John Hulse, one ($1.00) and my sister Sarah Crawford one dollar ($1.00). And the heirs of my brother, Abraham Hulse, one dollar $1.00. All in current money, whereunto I do set my hand and seal to this my last will and testament the 3rd day of April 1865.

Note: William HULSE, his sister (Sarah CRAWFORD) who is a widow, and her son's family (John H. CRAWFORD) are living with him in District 14 of the county in the 1860 Census.
