Baldwin HOWARD listed on tax list of 1812.in Sullivan Co. Is he the same Baldwin HOWARD
who died in Madison Co, AL in 1835? Would like to exchange info with any Baldwin Howard

Seeking information on a Thomas McCRORY buried in Weaver Cemetery, Bluff City, Sullivan
Co., Tn. Our information says that he has a D.A.R. marker. We have conflicting information
as to whether this is Captain or Colonel Thomas McCRORY. Would appreciate any help on this
from anyone who may know how this is listed and the dates?

Trying to find information on the HUNT family who lived in Sullivan Co. TN during the
late 1700's. They included John Hunt SR. (who d. ca1807 Fleming Co. KY) and his sons,
Basil, John, Reuben, and Absolom. Any documentation greatly appreciated.

Looking for information concerning Hartwell SAWYER, b. 1779 in North Carolina, d. in
either Sullivan Co. Tennesse or Washington Co. Virginia in the 1850's. He was married,
possibly two times, the second marriage to Mary SAWYER, relationship unknown. Hartwell is
listed on the 1805 Washington Co. Virginia Tax List as Hartwell SAWYER, alias BELL. Family
researchers have yet to pinpoint this connection. Hartwell's children were: John (1810),
Nancy (1815), Susan (1816), Leander McChesney (1819), Catherine (1822), and William
(1829). It is believed that Nancy married Isaac SELLS around 1836-37 and they had two
children: Susan R. SELLS (1837) who married Henry R. ROSENBAUM in 1865, and John C. SELLS
(1845) who may have served in the Confederacy from Sullivan Co. TN. Leander McChesney
SAWYER married Sarah Frances BOOHER of Sullivan Co. Tennessee and moved his family to
Clinton Co. Kentucky in 1853. Little is known of any of Hartwell SAWYER's children, except
Leander.
