MARRIAGE LICENSE

State of Tennessee ... Stewart County

To any regular Minister of the Gospel, of any denomination, or Jewish Rabbi; or any Judge, Chancellor or Justice of the Peace, within said County---GREETING:

You, or either of you, are hereby authorized to solemnize the RITES OF MATRIMONY between Morris Hargis and Annis Hinson, he, the said Morris Hargis having given bond and security agreeably to the Act of the General Assembly in such cases made and provided.

Given under my hand, at the Clerk's office in the city of Dover, this 25 day of July 1893

I CERTIFY, That I solemnized the Rites of Matrimony between Morris Hargis and Annis Hinson on the 27 day of July 1893

KNOW ALL MEN, That we Morris Hargis & Clay Hinson of the County of Stewart, and State of Tennessee, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Tennessee, in the sum of Twelve Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind our heirs, executors and administrators, and each and every one of us and them, both jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.\par \par \tab The Condition of the above Obligation is Such, That, Whereas, Morris Hargis hath prayed and obtained a License to marry Annis Hinson.\par \tab Now, if there shall not hereafter appear any lawful cause why the said Morris Hargis and Annis Hinson should not be joined in Holy Matrimony as husband and wife, then this obligation to be void and of no effect; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
