Liberty Church met in conference before the second Lord's day in January 1878. After praise and prayer by Br. S. H. Lancaster then proceeded to business. The church rescinded (sic) the act of excluding Br. C. T. Wallace and received him on his acknowledgement to full fellowship in the church. The church appointed a committee consisting of Br. Joshua Page, Br. Josiah Wallace and Br. M. D. Hutchinson and then dismissed.

Liberty Church met in conference on Saturday before the second Lords day in February, 1878. After praise and prayer by Br. Lancaster, then proceeded to business. The (sic) brother W. G. Morgan moved that Br. G. W. Wallace should act as pro tem (sic) clerk until a difficulty was settled between Br. M. D. Hutchinson and the brothers and sisters. The vote was taken and Br. G. W. Wallace elected as protem clerk. Then an order was made by the church that Br. G. W. Wallace take charge of the books. Reference called for then was one as a committee being appointed to see Br. Rubin Wallace for the purpose of bringing about reconcillation (sic) between Br. Rubin Wallace and Br. C. T. Wallace. Br. Rubin Wallace came forward and the church finding the church had errored in appointing a committee to see Br. Rubin Wallace and dismissed the case. The church then formed and adopted a resolution that no member shall bring a charge in the church against any brother or sister until gospel steps are taken and go according to the written law as it is laid down in the scripture of the divine. Liberty church met in conference on Saturday before the second Lords day in March, 1878. After praise and prayer and a short lecture by Br. S. H. Lancaster, the church then proceeded to business. Then called for the minutes of the February term of conference. The minutes were read and received. Then called for reference, there was none, then new business called for and Br. Billy Williams came forward and made acknowledgement for being intoxicated and restored in full fellowship in the church. Then the church granted Br. John Page the priviledge of running his fence straight up across a part of the church ground in the front of the church house. Br. John Page gave the church one acre of ground on the back of the church house of his ground in exchange for the ground he runs his fence over. Then the church ordered Br. John Page to deliver the church book to Br. G. W. Wallace then adjourned in peace to meet on Saturday on the second Lords day in April.

Liberty Church met in conference the second Saturday in April, 1878. After praise and prayer, the church proceeded to business. Then called for the minutes of the March conference. The minutes were read and received. Then reference called for, there was none, then called for new business. There was a charge brought up against Br. Jeff Morgan for dancing. By the request of the brother Jeff Morgan, he was excluded from the church. Then held an election to elect delegates for the quarterly meeting to be held at Liberty church on the Saturday or Sunday in May. The Church elected Br. G. W. Wallace, Br. M. S. Wallace and Br. John Page and Br. John Morgan as delegates and Br. William G. Morgan and Br. John Fuller alternates then dismissed in peace to meet on Saturday before the second Lords day in May.

...........the church granted his request and the church excluded him and the church excluded Br. Martin D. Hutchinson from the office of church clerk and elected Br. G. W. Wallace as the church clerk. Then Br. Josiah Wallace brought up a charge against Br. John H. Morgan as there being a misunderstanding between the two brothers and there was a flat contradiction between the two brothers and they were both excluded by their request. Also by request Sister Nancy Morgan was excluded and by request Sister Martha Taylor was excluded and by request Sister Mary Wallace was excluded and by request Sister Eliza Morgan was excluded and by request Br. John Taylor was excluded then dismissed to meet on Saturday before the second Lords day in June.

Then called for the minutes for the May term, the brother clerk not being present, the minutes were not read. The church appointed Br. W. G. Morgan clerk protem. Then the church excluded Br. M. D. Hutchinson for treating the church with contempt then excluded Br. John E. Shemwell for dancing then dismissed to meet on Saturday before the second Lords day in July.

Then called for the May term of conference, the minutes were read and received. Then called for reference, there was none, then called for new business. W. G. Morgan brought up charge against Br. Price Thomas for swearing and the church excluded him. Then the doors of the church were opened for the reception of members. Br. J. H. Morgan came forward and restored into full fellowship with the church and also to the office of deacon. The church ordered to Brother clerk to give Br. E. E. Colson to give (sic) a copy of the letter that he put in Liberty Church that he joined. Also a copy of the Oct. term of conference, 1877. Liberty Church met in conference before the second Lord's day in August, 1878. After praise and prayer and a short lecture by Br. Lancaster, then the church proceeded to business. Then called for the minutes of the June and July term and conference. The minutes were read and received then called for references, there was none, then called for new business. Br. Mont Morgan sent his acknowledgement to the church for being intoxicated and has a difficulty and the church received his acknowledgement and restored him into full fellowship with the church. Then Br. G. W. Wallace stated to the church that he had seen Br. William Page intoxicated and playing cards and also heard him tell Br. C. T. Wallace to bring up the charge and tell the church to erace (sic) his name from the church book. The church laid his case over until Br. G. W. Wallace could see Br. William Page and see whether he wanted his name erased or not. Then the church went into election for the purpose of electing delegates to the association. Br. G. W. Wallace and Br. John Morgan, and Br. D. M. Williams and Br. James Hawkins was elected delegates to the association. Then the doors of the church was opened for the reception of members. None came forward.

Meeting was protracted and continued until Friday night. Then closed in peace and harmony.

Pace as moderator and then proceeded to business. Then called for the minutes of August term of conference. The minutes were read and received, then called for reference, there was none, then called for the report of Br. G. W. Wallace on Br. William Page. The report was received and tabled until the next conference. Then the church elected Br. Joshua Page and Br. John Page and Br. W. G. Morgan as delegates to the association. Then dismissed in peace to meet on Sat. before the second Lords day on Oct.

Then called for the minutes of the September term of conference and the brother clerk being absent, the church appointed Br. J. P. Page clerk, pro tem. Then called for the unfinished business. Then the case of Br. William Page was brought up and tabled. Then the church went into an election and elected Br. S. H. Lancaster pastor of the church for the ensueing year and Br. C. T. Wallace and Br. D. M. Williams stewards and Br. W. G. Morgan treasurer and Br. J. P. Page sexton. Then the church appointed Br. John H. Morgan to write the letter for the association then dismissed in peace to meet on Wednesday evening to arrange the business of the church for the association. J. P. Page, clerk pro tem.

Met on Wednesday according to dismission and the church proceeded to business and called for the minutes of the September term of conference. The minutes was read and received. Then called for the letter for the association. The letter was read and received. The church elected Br. N. G. Wallace as a delegate to the association. Then Br. Joseph Free requested the church to erace (sic) his name from the church book, and by his request the church excluded him. Dismissed in peace to meet on Saturday on the second Lord's day in November. Liberty church met in conference on Saturday before the second Lords day in December 1878. After prayer and praise, the church being...............then called for the minutes of the October term. Then on motion Br. A. H. Jackson was elected clerk, then on motion Br. James McCoy was excluded. Then Br. Rubin Wallace ask the church to forgive him for swearing and walking disorderly to which the church forgives him. Liberty Church met in conference on Saturday before the second Lords day in February, 1879. After prayer and praise by Elder S. H. Lancaster, then called conference minutes of the December term, read and corrected and then received. Then called for new business. Sister Mary Kelly reported that Sister Sylvester Taylor had been dancing and talked to her and she said she did not expect to do any better. Then in the wisdom of the church, thought it proper to exclude her for unchristian conduct. Then taken up the case of Br. Green Wall. The brother had left for Texas, did not obtain a letter from the church, although left reports behind him of drunkness, swearing and lying in their ears. The church, in her wisdom, thought it proper to exclude him from her fellowship. No other business, the church moved for adjournment in peace and harmony.

Liberty Church met in conference on Saturday before the second Lords day in April, 1879. After praise and prayer by Elder S. H. Lancaster, minutes read and approved and no reference, new business called. The bretheren (sic) testified against Br. W. C. Williams for unchristian conduct and upon testimony, the church in her wisdom excluded him from her fellowship and also excluded Br. C. T. Wallace from her fellowship for unchristian conduct.

Liberty Church met at Hayes Fork Saturday before the second Lord's day in year 1880. After prayer and a short lecture by H. C. Pace, then called in conference by moderator. Being no unfinished bysiness before conference, the conference ordered the clerk to erase William Page's name from the church book as he had not received the ordinance of baptism and two years had past since he had joined. Then in consultation in conference, the brothers present passed and ordered to hold conference quarterly--January the first (meeting), April the second, July the third and October the fourth.
