Stewart County Cemetery Book

The Stewart County cemetery records are being updated at this time. A book containing a listing of all known Stewart County cemeteries will be published in the near future. The cost and publication date will be announced when the book is near completion. If you are interested in purchasing a cemetery book, please contact Kimberly Schmidt at the address below.

If you have information that you would like to submit for the book; have knowledge of a cemetery (located in Stewart County) that may have been overlooked, or know the identity of an unmarked grave, include the information with the attached form. The following information is needed:

• Name of the deceased
• birth/death dates
• military information (if known)
• location of the cemetery

Any proceeds from the sale of the book will go right back into the Historical Society's cemetery cleanup fund. If you can donate to the cleanup committee, we need the following items:

• Construction adhesive (outdoor type in the tube)
• PVC (pipes, end caps, 4-way connectors and PVC glue)
• Black rustoleum spray paint (for the old iron fences)
• Fencing material for marking cemetery boundaries
• Dry mix cement for resetting fence posts or tombstones
• Donations for the following:
• Gas - for mowers, weed eaters and chain saws
• Signs - These would be ordered through a sign company.
