Last Will and Testament of Joshua Sikes, Sr.

In the name of God, Amen. I Joshua Sikes senior of the County of Smith State of Tennessee being in a proper sound mind and memory do make and publish this to be my last will and Testiment this 24th day of October 1822.

Item 1st. I give one negro boy named Moses unto my son Wm M. Sikes which he has Recd as for his full part of my Estate.

Item 2nd. I give one negro boy named Thomas unto my son Terrill Sykes, which he had Recd for his full part of my Estate.

Item 3rd. I give five hundred Dollars to my son Joshua Sikes, Jnr which he has Recd for his full part of my Estate.

Item 4th. I give one negro woman now in pregnancy named Hester unto my daughter Rebeckey Wagoner for her farther part of my Estate.

Item 5th. I give one negro boy by the name of Gideon unto my Daughter Ann Nelms which she has Recd for her full part of my Estate.

Item 6th. I give Two hundred and thirteen dollars and fifty Cents to my daughter Elizabeth Parker which sum her husband has Recd for her full part of my Estate.

Item 7th. I give one negro girl Judge unto my grand son Major Lewis Sikes, a son of Elizabeth Parkers for his full part of my Estate.

Item 8th. I give all of my house hould and kitchen furniture unto my Grand daughter Nancy Wagoner for her full part of my Estate.

I Joshua Sikes do appoint Joshua sikes Jnr. And Danniel Wagoner the Executors to my last will and testament.
