Tennessee State Library and Archives at Nashville has virtually every Smith
County official document still extant up until the 1967 or so on
microfilm. This includes newspapers and
the records of the Cities of Gordonsville, Carthage, and South Carthage. Most of these same records are available on
microfilm at the Smith County Public Library
