Henry J. Woodard Family - 1940

Henrys wife Nellie Mae (Overstreet) Woodard, to her left is my father John Lee Woodard.

Henry Jeff Woodard is the son of William Alfred Woodard and Emiline(Emmy)Sircy, and
grandson of Henry Douglas Woodard and Everline B. (Kent) Woodard.

Nellie Mae (Overstreet) Woodard is the Daughter of Francis Fleming Overstreet and Tennie
Alice (Grisham) Overstreet who were share croppers on the Gore family farm during the
great depression and are laid to rest in the Ridgewood cemetery very near the Gore plots.

The family moved from Smith Co. in 1953 to Akron Ohio where the rubber business was booming,
also going with them was Nellie Mae's father Fleming Francis Overstreet, sadly due to his age and
failing health Fleming passed away in Akron shortly after arriving, my father (John Lee Woodard)
then took him by train back to Smith Co. where he was layed to rest next to his wife Emmy.
