Announcement
This announcement appeared in the Lakeland Ledger newspaper in Lakeland Florida in
the fall of 1973. There are a couple of mistakes. Their daughters name is Floy Lillie
Bennett (Mrs. Henson). There was no son named Harry. It was Harvey Woodard who
lived in Avon Park, FL. Mrs. Kenneth Still was their daughter, Mildred. Their marriage
lasted another 3 years before Mary died in 1976 and Herman died in 1977. It was not
their golden anniversary as the headline suggested. It was the 65th!

Theirs was a close family. We would go to their house many Sundays and everyone would
bring lunch and we would have a great time with our cousins. My grandparents kept me as
a small child while my parents worked. It was one of my favorite times in my lifetime.
