JAMES ALLEN RUSSELL FAMILY

Pictured are James Allen (Allen), Fred Eugene, Kittie Isobel Brimm and Joseph Herod Russell.
Allen was the son of Calvert and Mary Oldham Russell. He was born February 26, 1874 and died
February 15, 1963. Kittie was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Martha Perkins Brimm. She
was born April 1, 1877 and died April 23, 1965. They lived in the Russell Hollow off Big Creek
Road near Pleasant Shade and are buried in the Sloan Cemetery at Pleasant Shade.

Kittie Isobel Brimm was the grandaughter of Nancy Susan Gregory Perkins who's picture is on the website.

Fred Russell was born December 25, 1896 and died in October 1978. He was married to Virginia
Porter. He was a teacher and began his career at Kittrell School near Pleasant Shade and later taught
in the Trousdale County school system.

Joseph (Joe) Russell was born July 8, 1900 and died February 6, 1980. He was married to Bessie
Irene Piper. Bessie was born April 21, 1905 and died May 24, 1996. They too, are buried in the
Sloan Cemetery. Joe was my wife's grandfather and was a farmer and long time bus driver in the
1950's and 60's for the Smith County school system.
