James Johnson (J. J. or Jim Gid) Gregory Family
Row 1, l-r: Oakley, married Lola (maiden name Gregory), Donna, married
Raymond Earps, Mary Della, married Billie Tensley Gregory.
Row 2, Ora, married Mance Oldham, James (Jimmy), married Violet Stafford,
Charlie, married Thula Earps (sister to Raymond), Sallie (baby), married Arnett
Dyer and Johnson married Lucy Wilburn. Children born later were: Earlene, married
Carthell Cothron and Gladys, married Ottie Gregory.

James Johnson and Sallie Ann Wilburn Kemp Gregory are shown with their family in 1908.
They lived in the Cato community of Trousdale County.

Sallie Wilburn was first married to Sike Kemp and they became the parents of a
son that died as an infant. They were later divorced and Sallie married J. J.

J. J. was first married to Mary (Polly) Brooks. She was the mother of Johnson,
Ora and Charlie. After her death, J. J. and Sallie were married.

J. J. is the person noted in the Dixon's Creek Missionary Baptist Church history as
the representative for the church during the lawsuit.

J. J., Mary and Sallie are buried in the Jabe Gregory Cemetery and John Waggoner
posted a picture of their tombstone.
