Monsieur Cooper
Monsieur Cooper taken in 1898 while he was serving in the Spanish-American War.

My great-grandfather was Monsieur Cooper.(10/10/1874 - 5/17/1948) son of Timothy W. Cooper
(1/17/1834 - 4/4/1905)and Virginia H. Beasley (4/21/1837 - 8/7/1905). My great-grandmother
was Pearl Mary Apple (9/16/1881 - 1/29/1907), daughter of Robert Gaines Apple and Ada
McDearman Apple. Pearl, Robert and Ada are all buried in the cemetery behind the Chestnut
Mound Methodist Church. After Pearl Apple Cooper's death, Monsieur Cooper married
Maybelle Knight, daughter of Dr. Elijah Haynie Knight of Smith County.

My grandmother, Robbie Comer Cooper Person was born in Buffalo Valley and raised in Chestnut
Mound until she was an older teenager, when she moved to Sumner County, Tennessee.
