and died October 1, 1938. His parents were Tom and Elizabeth Fry Bruce. He had eight
brothers and sisters: John Bruce, E. Bruce (died in childhood), C. F. Bruce (died in childhood),
Zadie Bruce Johnson, Gertrude Bruce Gawltney, Annie Bruce(died in childhood), Willie Bruce
(died in childhood), and Bon (Barney) Bruce.

Robert married Della Moore, born around Dec. 1881 or Jan. 1882 and died August 31, 1910.
They had one daughter, Annie Imogene, born July 2, 1908 and died April 21, 1966.

Robert H. Bruce was a photographer who worked in Nashville and in Brush Creek. The Smith County
History says of Robert Bruce: "A Mr. Bob Bruce probably was the cause of more joy among the young
mothers of the community than any other man due to the fact that he was an excellent photographer.
Many of the pictures that he made in the late 1800s and the early 1900s are still on display in homes
and in dresser drawers and other places of safe keeping. Many of these pictures are very outstanding
and are just as plain today as the day they were made some 80 or 90 years ago."

Robert Bruce was in a band in the Brush Creek area.
