Lipscomb Cemetery
The Lipscomb Cemetery is located north of Pleasant Shade on Little Creek
Road. It is on a hill next to a barn across from house #86. Crypts have
been damaged. This farm was tracted and auctioned recently.

"Where immortal spirits reign
There we shall meet again
Farwell till we meet again."
Lipscomb, Elizabeth 5 Aug 1798 - 1 May 1881
"A faithful wife, companion dear, In sweet repose is sleeping here,
Her painful loss I deeply feel, But God can all my sorrows heal"
Ballou, Mary R. Kittrell 25 Sep 1806 - 19 Sept 1871

"Tis sweet to gaze upon the sod
that wraps thy mouldering clay

(Note: This grave was reported by Cal Gregory
in 1953 we could not determine it now.)
Crypt (No names) -- 1805 --- 1, 1859
Cal Gregory reported he located 13 graves and there
were additional black graves.
