Jared Cemetery
The Jared Cemetery is located a few miles east of Smith County line in Putnam County.
Jared Cemetery Rd turns south off Highway 70 for approx. 1/10 miles to the cemetery on top of hill.

There are over fifty burials with several marked by fieldstones.
Principal surname is Jared with other families being Benson, Brown, Elrod, Ensor,
Baker, Vaughn, Huddleston, Thompson, Rippetoe, Scarlett, Newman, & Johnson.
This is the burial place for Rev. War Soldier Joseph Jared 2 Jun 1760 - 4 Mar 1835 Pvt. Feagin's Co.
