Hines Cemetery
I started this cemetery project photographing my family cemeteries as part of my genealogical research
and one of the first I did was the Hines Cemetery at Monoville. My mother and I have just completed
raising $3500.00 for a new fence for this cemetery which was installed last week. We got donations from
over 20 family members from 5 states plus a generous donation from Peyton's Creek Missionary Baptist
Church. R.B. Davis who is buried here pastored at Peyton's Creek 41 years.
This was a nice repayment for his service. John Waggoner Jr. July 20.2000

The Hines Cemetery is located on the Wilmore farm Hwy. 80 1/2 mile
South of Monoville, Tn. 36-17-90N 85-58-92W

In 1997 Kirk Hines came from Calif. with a member of his family to show
them this cemetery that he wanted to be his final resting place. The
next day while on a trip to Crossville he had a heart attack and died
along the interstate. He was buried here.

Thomas Chaffin and wife, Lulu Boston Chaffin; Henry Thomas "Bub" Key and
wife, Betty Smith Key. Also great-great grandparents Harvey C. Chaffin and
