Hiett Cemetery
The Hiett Cemetery is located between Carthage and Monoville on Hartsville
Pike. It is north of Hall's Hill on the Richard Beasley Farm. It is a well
maintained active cemetery. Woodard Cemetery is across the road.

Both of my parents were born and raised in Smith Co. Tn. I am the son of John L. Woodard
and Mattie L. Silcox. I saw the picture of and noticed the list of names in the Heitt cemetery,
I have visited that cemetery a number of times over the years, I was devastated when I learned
that my Grandpa and Grandma Silcox and my Aunt Cinthia had no headstone.
Since the majority of his decendants had migrated to the Akron,Ohio area in the 50's and 60's
it went unnoticed for many years untill I decided to visit the cemetery while there on vacation.
