Hance Cemetery
The Hance Cemetery is located on Lock 8 Road off McClure Bend Road.
It is located to the right of the Hance-Martin home. This house is
thought to have been built prior to 1856. It is now the home of
the Kruzan family.
The oldest burial in the Hance Cemetery is E.S. Hance 13 Oct 1825 -- 24 July
1901 and the latest Alan D. Herman 5 Sept 1925 -- 2 April 1996. Other surnames
are: Mundy, Plumlee, West ( Hubert & Viola),Duke, Martin, Wright, Woodard,
Williams,& Chaffin.
