Cowan Cemetery
The Cowan Cemetery is located in Putnam County on Indian Springs Road about a mile from
the Smith-Putnam County line. Indian Springs Road turns off Ensor Hollow Road and the
cemetery is at the end of the road. It is fenced and well maintained.
Surnames of those buried here are Cowan, Ditty, Brinoley, Knight,
Duke, Ferrell, Bockman, Huff, Linson, Lambert, Roberts & Young.
Approx. 50 marked graves. Several graves marked with fieldstones.
