Canter Cemetery
The Canter Cemetery is located NE of Kempville. One route to this cemetery is to
take Hwy 85 to Gladdice in Jackson Co., turn left onto Bagdad/Gladdice Road,go
past church into Smith Co and turn right on Dean Hill Rd., in one half mile turn
left Billy Hollow Rd, continue one half mile to the Kaiser Reece farm on the left.
Mr. Reece lives in a brick house at that location. Just pass his house is a old
house and the gate to go up hill to the cemetery. You will need truck or off road
Vehicle to travel this road approx. 400 yards to top of hill. This is a well
maintained cemeterey with several new stones added to older burials. It is a
beautiful and peaceful location. The day we were there we saw 25 wild turkeys at
the cemetery.
