Isham Beasley Cemetery
This photo of the tombstone of Isham (1818)(1825?)- 25 June 1887) and Susan Day Beasley* ( 25 June
1839-7 Sept 1917) was made by Mrs Jack Beasley in 1982 at the Isham Beasley Cemetery located behind
the house at #170 Scanty Branch Road in Cato, Trousdale Co. TN.. This part Of Trousdale County was once
a part of Smith County The cemetery is grown up in brush and briars at the present time to make it inaccessible.
Isham was the son of Braddock Beasley and Sarah Fergusson and the grandson of Isham Beasley and Polly
Andrews. A more complete history of this couple can be found in Smith County History Page 371.There is
a conflict between birth date of Isham in the article and the tombstone date.

This cemetery is listed in Smith County Tennessee Cemeteries - North of the
Cumberland River page 103 where the date is also listed different from the stone.

*Susan M. Day was the daughter of John D. Day and Margaret Collie Day.
John D. Day's parents were Philip Day and Mary Douglass Day.
