CRABTREE, ABB EVERETT – age 63, of Winfield, Tenn., died April 11, 1995, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Following an extended illness.  Born in Scott County, Tenn., July 20, 1931, he was the son of the late ABB and ARTIE FREEMAN CRABTREE.  He was a member of  the 2nd Bethlehem Baptist Church, serving as superintendent, deacon and Sunday School teacher.  He was also a United States Army veteran, an active member of the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida, for which he was a member of the Honor Guard Detail and served three years as post commander, and a longtime employee of Tibbals Flooring Company.  He was a avid historian and a member of the Historical Society.  In addition to his parent he was also preceded in death by four brothers:  EDWARD, SILAS, HAROLD, and JOHN CRABTREE.  He is survived by his wife, MARY SUE CRABTREE, two daughters:  SANDRA CECIL and husband JOE, of Knoxville, and RHONDA CRABTREE and husband, STEVE, of Winfield; two sons:  BRIAN CRABTREE of Kingsport and MARK CRABTREE of Winfield; two grandsons, STEVEN CRABTREE of Winfield and JACOB CECIL of Knoxville; three sisters:  ALENE QUEENER of Capital Hill; RUBY CRABTREE of Indianapolis, Ind., and LIZ RAMSEY and husband, HARLEY, of Oneida; step-granddaughters:  LISA MOFFITT of Pioneer, ELIZABETH COFFEY of Chapel Hill, NC, and LUCINDA CECIL of Oneida, several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services were conducted April 14, in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. J. C. REYNOLDS and Rev. JACK CHITWOOD officiating.  Special music was provided by IRENE CHITWOOD and family.  Interment followed in the Chitwood Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post #136.  Pallbearers were:  DARRIN DUNCAN, LYNN CHITWOOD, TED CRABTREE, RICK CRABTREE, MIKE CRABTREE, BRUCE CRABTREE, WAYNE RAMSEY, DAVE RAMSEY, RICHARD CRABTREE and DOUG QUEENER.  Jones & Son Funeral Home of Oneida was in charge of arrangements.  (Source:  Independent Herald [???], Apr 1995)
