• Levi L. Reed joined the U. S. Army in July 1924, some time just after the 4^th.  I guess about the 6 or 8 – 1924 for three years.

 DEATHS

•  Ail Smith, a son of Jake Smith & Mary, died August 7, 1941 at Layfollet Hospital.

• W. A. (or H.) Thomas cr died Jan. 7, 1944; barried Jan. 8 ’44.

• Dona (Donna) May Smith, a daughter of Jake Smith, deceased Oct. 10^th, 1930.

• E. S. Boshears killed by a truck on Oct. 10^th, 1930 at Huntsville.  He was County Register.

• Sherman Phillips, called P. J., died Mar. 29 or 30, 1931.

• Charley Beets, a son of Harve & Nance Beets, died Feb. 15 A.D., 1934.

• Henry C. Smith died Dec. 18, 1934.

• Charlotte Smith, wife of James Smith, deceased June 24 or 25, 1935.

• John Ray Phillips, Jr. Died Nov. 27, 1939.

• Sampson Reed deceased May 18, 1941.

• W. Finley Reed deceased June 5, 1941, a son of Sampson Reed.

• James Carson, a son of Peter & Rainy Carson, deceased Jan. 1^st, 1929.

• Marga Marcum, wife of Joe Marcum, deceased this Jan. 18, 1929, I recon.

• Joel R. Smith, a son of Jake and Ada Smith, died Sept. 21 A.D., 1929.

• Rhoda Acers (Acres) killed by a automobile near Lexington, KY on April 9^th, 1930; funeral April 11.

• Judge W. H. Buttram died May 31^st, 1930; died sudent a sitting in his chair.

• Marion Goodman died May 31^st from a cutt by a Negro.  He lived about 3 weeks, cutt 8 times.

• Chester Clyde Phillips, son of Clyde and Ardelia Phillips, died June 12, 1930.

• Ozias (?) King died June 24, 1930, 62 years and 10 month old.

• M. W. Presley deceased the 15 of June A.D. 1926 at 2:10 o’clock in morning.  C. C. Reed’s son-in-law by Altie Reed.

• Jimey Duncan deceased July 12, 1926, first wife of Marion Duncan.

• Fayett Rangus (?) baby Lula died July 16 A.D. 1926.

• William J. Pressley, son of M. W. And Altie Pressley, deceased Oct. 13, 1926.  He was about 10 months old, was borned Dec. 25, 1925, I guess.

• Catherine Phillips, wife of Granville Phillips, deceased Oct. 6, 1927.

• John L. Smith, deceased Dec. 3^rd, 1928.

• John Archie Carson killed by auto Dec. 22, 1928; a son of J. B. Carson.

• Mrs. Raney Carson, wife of Peter Carson, deceased Dec. 26, 1928.  I reckon mother of Jim and John A, a sister to Jim & Bill Owens.

• Woodrow Wilson, ex-President 2 times, died on Feb. 3, 1924 at 11:15 a.m.  He was a Democrat.

• F. (?) M. Chambers, P.W.’s father, deceased his death the 28 of Mar., 1924.

• W. C. Hatfield died Aug. 27, 1924 from a shot on the 25 of Aug. By Nute (Newt) Blevins.

• Walter Douglas’ baby borned Nov. 29, 1924, died Dec. 17, 1924; a boy.

• Dilia Thomas, wife of W. A. Thomas, deceased Feb. 24, 1925.

• Judge P. W. Chambers deceased this 23 of April, 1926; was County Judge.

• Emerson Smith died at Jim Thomas on May the 13, 1926.

• Campbell C. Reed deceased July 11, 1886.

• Martha Reed, wife of C. C. Reed, deceased June 14, 1901.

• Martha Ann Phillips deceased November 11, 1887.

• Angenetta Reed deceased April 8, 1893.

• Rachel Smith deceased Feb. 5, 1891.

• Wash Smith deceased by doroxing; dead Sept. 11, 1927.

• Richard Davis deceased Oct. 11, 1921.

• Aunt Churty Blevins deceased her death March the 29, 1923.

• Harrison Reed died April 13, 1914.

• Annie Reed, daughter of c. C. Reed, died April 29.

• Bob Stanley and one of Silas Stanley’s boys got killed by a train on Sept. 11, 1926 by the Hickory Mill.

• Elmer Phillips and Luther West got drowned on the 15 of Dec. A.D. 1926 between Greasy and Clear Fork River on New River.  Elmer, a son of L. H. Phillips.  Luther West, a son of Banch Leg charley West.  Luther found Dec. 17, 1926.  Elmer found on Dec. 30, 1926, barried Dec. 31, 1926 at home by his mother and sister.

• Roy Phillips, a son of L. H. Phillips, died July the 20^th A.D., 1932, with fever.

• Lonia Thomas deceased her death A.D. 1933 on September 18. Daughter of W. A. Thomas, Jr.

• W. H. Carson cr died Jan. 22, 1934, a brother to J.B., J.W., and Lee of Harriman.
