Baird's Creek Cemetery is listed in Robert Bailey's "Cemeteries of Scott County, Tennessee" on page 14 but is not inventoried.  Mr. Bailey says the cemetery showed on the TVA Quadrangle Maps but he had not yet located the cemetery.

The following directions are provided by Bobbie Ivey-Lewallen who transcribed this cemetery on 6 July 2001:

"This cemetery is located back in the mountain, with Campbell County on one side & Scott County on the other side. I believe this cemetery would be located in Scott County. We got to this cemetery by driving to Newcomb in Campbell Co. & turning on Whistle Creek Road. Then we went up the mountain on this road & turned left on a dirt road that’s probably called Baird’s Creek Road. The road is rough in places and we went through several mud holes, but didn’t have to use the 4-wheel drive gear. You can also get to this cemetery by going up Big Wheel Gap Road in Elk Valley, (also in Campbell Co.) but I believe the road is a lot rougher to go this way. There are several graves that have field stones, with no inscriptions. If you have knowledge of anyone being buried in this cemetery, please email Bobbie Ivey-Lewallen at tngranny3@yahoo.com"
