5th Annual Get-Together

The fifth annual Scott Co, TN Researchers Get Together occurred 31 May 2005 at the Helenwood Baptist Church in Helenwood, TN.  This was the first time we had held the get-together in a place other than the First Savings and Trust Community Center in Oneida.  The Helenwood Baptist Church facility was far superior.  Ample parking.  Clean facility.  Plenty of space.  Excellent kitchen.  And, the adjoining cemetery was a great place to stroll around when one needed to take a break.

About 45 people show up for this event, almost doubling last year's event, with many coming from out of town though there was still considerable local involvement.  We had visitors from several states to include Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.   Again, this was a fun get together and a great way to meet and develop new friends.  Lots of pictures were exchanged.  Lots of information was exchanged.  And lots of renewed friendships.  We plan to do it again next year.

Below are pictures of some of the participants although not all -- I just didn't get pictures of everyone.  We decided to take a group picture this year but because people wandered in an out all day, the group picture doesn't show everyone who attended either.
