         I James Wilson have this day bargained, sold, and do hereby transfer and convey to Solomon Payne and his heirs forever for the consideration of twelve hundred and twenty five dollars to me paid, a tract of land in the State of Tennessee Robertson County & District No. 2, containing one hundred and seventy five acres, be the same more of less, and bounded as follows: Beginning on the hickory and post oak, the North East corner of Wm. Mulloy’s tract, running South one hundred and eighty eight poles to a hickory J. C. Patterson’s North East corner, thence West one hundred and fifty six poles to Richard Redgrave’s South East corner in Patterson’s line, thence North one hundred and eighty eight poles to a hickory in Nancy Brewer's line, thence East one hundred and fifty six poles poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the same to the said Solomon Payne his heirs and assigns forever, I do covenant with the said Solomon Payne that I am lawfully seized of said land, have a good right to convey it and that same is unencumbered. I do further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to Warrant and forever defend the title to said land and every part thereof to the said Solomon Payne his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all other persons whatever, this the 8th of January, 1850. Received 12 January 1850 at 4 Oclk PM.

         Personally appeared before me Joseph E. Winfield Clerk of the County Court for said County Alfred Berry on the 16 February 1850, Kendred Wilson on the 12 June 1850. Subscribing witnesses to the within named deed who being first sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with James Wilson the bargainor and that he acknowledged the same in their prescence to be his act and deed upon the say it so on date. Witness my hand at office this 12 day of June 1850.
