         I John W. Warren have this day bargained and conveyed to Francis R. Durrett his heirs and assigns forever for the sum of sixty dollars has in hand paid, a tract of land lying in the County of Robertson and District No. 10. Beginning at a sycamore on the South bank of Beavers Dam Creek, William Well’s NE corner, thence South with said Well’s line seventy two poles to a branch trace down the meanders of the same to the Beaver Dam Creek including a spring on the NE side of the creek, thence down the same Creek to the Beginning, containing by estimation twenty acres be it more or less. To have and to hold the same to the said Francis R. Durrett his heirs and assigns forever, I do covenant with the said Durrett that I am lawfully seized of said land, have a good right to convey the same and the same is unincumbered. I do covenant covenant further and bind myself my heirs and Representatives to Warrant and defend the title to the land and every part thereof to the said Durrett his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever this 28 of March 1846.          Personally appeared before me Joseph E. Winfield clk of the County Court of said County, J.W. Warren the within named bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained.
