         pg 121) Know all men by these presents that I Martin WALTON of Robertson County and State of Tennessee for and in consideration of the love and affection that I bear towards the Church of Jesus Christ under the character or title of the United Baptists and particularly that part of them composing the Baptist Church of Christ known by the name of the Cave Spring Church in said County and for their accomadation & use as a place to hold and carry on their religious worship of Almighty God I do hereby give and grant unto Meredith WALTON, William SALE & Charles POWELL and their ___ in office (Trustees for the said Cave Spring Church) in trust for the use and benefit of said church & their ___ of the United Baptist ___ order & by these presents do give, grant, alien, convey & convey unto the said Trustees in trust for the said Cave Spring Church & their ___ in that order of Religious Worship forever. All my rights, title, interest, claims or demands whatsever to one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in Robertson County containing by survey three and one half acres (including the spot whereof the Cave Spring Baptist meeting house now stands) and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning
         pg 122) at a post oak saplin a beginning corner of said WALTONs in a South boundary line of Doctor ___ 640 acre survey and running thence West with his line twenty eight poles to a stake corner on Dr GLOUCESTERs line thence South with GLOUCESTERs line twenty poles to a hickory saplin in said line thence East twenty eight poles to a stake thence North twenty poles to the beginning with its appurtenances together with all the estate rights, title, interest, possessions, claims or demands whatsoever of me the said Martin WALTON my heirs, executors or assigns to the aforementioned threee and one half acres of land & premises to the said Trustees in trust for the said Baptist Church of Christ and their sucessors of the United Baptist order forever. In witness whereof I the said Martin WALTON have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen.

         This indenture from Martin WALTON to the Baptist society was proven in open Court by the oath of George THOMAS and Thomas COOK subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be registered.
