         For and in consideration of Three Hundred Eighty three 88/100 ($383.83/100) dollars payable as hereafter stated I, T.D. Berry do hereby transfer and convey to Wm. McNeeley, his heirs, and assigns the right and title to one tract of land lying in the Village of Orlinda in the second District of Robertson County Tennessee known and described as follows.
         Beginning at a stone in Cross Plains and Adairville road running N 48 ¾ W seven (7) poles and seventeen (17) links to a stone in said road and corner to F.P. Kelly in E.L. Crockers line thence S 32 W twenty nine (29) poles and Eight (8) links to a stone thence S3W forty two (42) poles to a stone thence S 85 ½ E ten (10) poles to a stone thence N 3 E forty four (44) poles and twenty three (23) links to a stone thence N 33 E twenty one (21) poles and two (2) lks to beginning, containing Three Acres 3 Roods and fourteen (14) poles more or less.
         To have and to hold to said Wm. McNeeley his heirs and assigns forever. I hereby covenant with said McNeeley that I am well seized and possessed of the above described lot of land and tat I have full power and lawful authority to sell and transfer the same and I hereby bind my self heirs and legal representatives to forever warrant and defend the title to the same against the claims of all person whomsoever. Of the above mentioned Three hundred Eighty three 88/100 ($383-88/100) Dollars, One hundred fifty is cash paid to me the receipt of which I acknowledge and for two hundred thirty three 88/100 ($233-88/100) said McNeeley has executed to me his promissory note due Nov. 1st 1901 with Int at 6% from Sep. 1st 1901.- said note is secured by lien retained on this property.

         Personally appeared before me, R.H. Felts, a Notary Public in and for said County and State, the within named T.D. Berry the bargainor, with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that he executed the within deed instrument for the purposes therein contained.
