         For the love and affection I entertain for Alfred Barry his wife Melessa, I do hereby give and convey to them, a tract of land in Robertson County & District No. 1 & 2, containing by estimation one hundred twenty eight acres & seventy poles & bounded as follows: Beginning on a post oak my(?) NE corner, running West to a stake Burton Wilson’s NE corner 150 poles, thence South to a black oak 137 poles, thence West 150 poles to a black oak, thence North to the Beginning 137 poles. To have and hold the said tract of land to them & their heirs & assigns forever. I covenant and agree for myself and heirs to Warrant and defend the title to the same, to the said Alfred Barry and Malissa their heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever. This 25th day of August 1852.

         Personally appeared before me Robt H. Murphey clk of the County Court for said County B. Gossett and Isaac Barry the subscribing witnesses to the within deed who being first sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with Solomon Payne the bargainor and that he acknowledged the same to his act and deed in their prescence for the purposes therein contained on or about the day it bears date. Witness my hand at office the 1st day of August 1853.
