         This Indenture made this thirteenth day of January in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and one, between Jesse Jones of the County of Robertson & State of Tennessee of the one part, and Augustine Cook of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said Jesse Jones for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars to him in hand by the said Augustine Cook at & before the sealing & delivering of these presence, the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, sold, Released & confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, release & confirm unto the said Augustine Cook his heirs & assigns, all that tract or parcel of land, containing one hundred acres, be the same more or less, lying & being in the County of Robertson, on the War Trace Creek of the Sulpher Fork of Red River. Beginning at a black oak, white oak & dogwood Abraham Millers North West corner, Runs North forty six poles to the War Trace Creek, then from the Creek up to its several meander, ninety six poles to two white oaks, on the South bank of the Creek, thence West ninety six and a half poles to a black white oak, then South one hundred and four poles to two dogwoods on Briscoes line, thence East with his line one hundred and seventy two and a half poles to the Beginning, being part of a tract of six hundred and forty acres, granted by the State of North Carolina to George Allen, Grant bearing date 15th Sep’r 1787, & numbered 504, together with all singular the rights, mineral & appurtances _______________ to the said tract of land belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the remainders, re_____________, _____________ _____ and profits thereof, & every part thereof. To have and to hold the said tract of land & all and singular, the premises & appurtainces thereunto belonging as aforesaid & every part thereof to Augustine Cook, his heirs & assigns, to the only user behoof of him the said Augustine Cook, his heirs & assigns forever, and the said Jesse Jones, the tract of land, and premises aforesaid unto the said Augustine Cook his heirs & assigns, against himself the said Jesse Jones & his heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall & will warrant and forever defend against presents. In witness whereof the said Jesse Jones hath hereunto set his hand & seal, the day & date first above written.
