         This Indenture made and conducted this seventh day of January and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two, between James Haynes of Barron County & State of Kentucky of the one part and Thomas Haynes of Robertson & State of Tennessee of the other part, Witnesseth that the said James Haynes for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds, to him in hand paid, the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hereto granted, bargained, dismissed, Released, aliened, conveyed & confirmed & by these presence, do give grant bargain, sell demise, release, alien convey & confirm unto the said Thomas Haynes all that certain tract or parcel of land, containing three hundred & twenty acres, more or less, situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid, on the north fork of Red River, bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning on a black walnut on the South bank of Red River, running West thirty six poles across a bank to a hickory sapling, on the river bank, thence down the meanders of the river to a Corry tree, then West ninety three poles to a stake in the Barrens, thence north one hundred and thirty four poles to the River, thence along the meanders of the said to a sycamore tree William Pryor’s corner as agreed on by said Hannah & Pryor, thence North with Pryor’s line to a stake on the Kentucky line, then East with the Kentucky line to the patent corner, a stake, thence South three hundred and seventy poles to the Beginning, together with all woods, waters, mines, minerals, hereditaments & appurtenances, to have and to hold the before named land & bargained premises with all & singular the remainder & remainders, revisions, ____ and profits a?in and to the same belonging or appertaining to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of him the said Thomas Haynes his heirs & assigns forever, and the said James Haynes doth for himself his heirs Execrs & administrators covenant & agree to and with the said Thomas Haynes his heirs & assigns, that the before recited land and premises he will warrant & defend against the legal right, title, interest & claim of all persons whatsoever, In Testimony whereof the said James Haynes hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal, the day & year first above written.
