         Know all men by these presents that whereas Daniel Holeman deceased late of the County and State of Tennessee died possessed of various property, to wit, land, negroes, monies, &c which will more fully appear by reference to the records of said Court. Now know ye that I Holeman Byrd of the County of Giles and State of Tennessee aforesaid and heir of the said deceased at Sa___ have made ordained constitute and appointed William H. Byrd of the County and State last aforesaid my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name and for use and benefit to ask d_____ and ______ of and from the executors or administrators of the estate of the said deceased all the monies or whatsoever that may be due me from the said estate and if this should be any real property I the said Holeman Byrd heir aforesaid do constitute and appoint William H. Byrd as aforesaid my sole attorney from and in my name to lease or depose of the same as he may think proper and convenient and also for me and in my name and as my act and deed to Segse seal execute and deliver such deeds and convey and for the leasing or absolute sale or disposal thereof or any part thereof with such clauses covenants and agreements to be therein contained as my said attorney may think fit and expedient or for my m_____ as their property to make sign and deliver any receipt or receipts for the same as he may think fit as thought I was present Hereby ratifying and confirming all such leases conveyaces bargains and sales or receipts which shall at any time hereafter be made by my said attorney touching or concerning the meaning of this indenture. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 3rd day of September 1828.
