         Know ye that all men by these presents that I Daniel CLARK of Robertson County State of Tennessee have this day 20th of February eighteen hundred thirty three have for the consideration of the sum of five hundred twelve dollars and fifty cents to me in hand paid the receipt is acknowledged have bargained and sold unto William W. GORDON

of the County and State aforesaid a certain Negro woman named N? about 20 years of age and her two children William eighteen months old and Jack one month old which I warrant the said woman sound & healthy only when she is in a family way then she has sick spells. I also bind myself, my heirs and assigns forever to warrant & defend all claims or demands that may come against the said __ for the said negroes in testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand this the day and date above written.

         Personally appeared before me William SEAL, Clk of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for the County aforesaid Daniel CLARK the within bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted with who acknowledged that he executed the within bill of sale, his act and deed for the purposes therein contained, witness my __ office this 13th day of May 1833.
