         This indenture made and entered into this 27th day of May 1831 between Goolsberry CHAMBERS and Elijah WILLIS both of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars to me in hand paid by the said Elijah WILLIS the receipt is hereby acknowledged. Now I the said CHAMBERS have bargained, sold and delivered unto the said WILLIS a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid butted and bounded as follows, Beginning at a black oak running North 58 poles to a stake in Elizabeth EDWARDS line thence East 123 poles to a stake in Alexander GORDON's line thence South with said line 72 poles to a honey locust thence West to the beginning and to contain fifty acres now I the said CHAMBERS have bargained and sold the said described land to Elijah WILLIS and do at all times warrant and defend the title to the same to be a good and lawful and in testimony I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of August 1831.

Witness William SEAL Clerk of our said Court at office this 13th day of May 1833.
