James Babb and wife to Elijah Arnold 8 Feb'y 1860;
         I James Babb & Caroline Babb have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Elijah Arnold his heirs and forever for the consideration of 100 dollars to me paid a tract of land in the State of Tennessee & Robertson County and State of Tennessee District No. 1, containing by estimation ten acres & 64 poles be the same more or less, Beginning on a post oak Running West 13 poles to a stake & thence South 128 poles to a hickory, Thence East 13 poles to a stake, thence North 128 poles to the beginning. Lot No. 4 containing ten acres and 64 poles. To have and to hold the same to the said Elijah Arnold his heirs and assigns forever, I the said James Babb and Caroline Babb hereby Warrant and defend the title to said land, to the said Elijah Arnold his heirs Executor and assigns this 24th of Sept 1859.

         Personally appeared before me R. H. Murphey clk of the County Court of said County forever, James Babb bargainer to the foregoing deed with whom I am personally acquainted & acknowledged that he executed the same for the purposes therein contained, also Caroline Babb the feme covert having appeared before me privately and apart from her husband the said Caroline Babb acknowledged the execution of said deed to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understanding & without compulsion or constraint upon the part of her husband and for the purposes set forth therein.
Given under my hand at office the 4th of February, 1860.
