E. Arnold to J.L. Williams 16 Feb 1850.
         This Indenture made this the 15th day of February in the year 1850, between Elijah Arnold of Robertson County and State of Tennessee of the one part, and James L. Williams of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Arnold, for and consideration of the sum of two hundred and thirty four dollars and fifty cents to him in hand paid by the said James L. Williams the receipt whereof he the said Arnold doth hereby acknowledge, to have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Williams and his heirs and assigns forever, One certain tract or parcel of land Situated lying and being in the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee on Summers branch & bounded as follows, to wit: beginning at a small hickory near the mouth of a small spring branch thence up the branch with its meanders to a Walnut, thence South 19 degree East 85 poles to a rock, thence due East 114 poles to a hickory corner, thence due North 48 poles to a post Oak, thence due West 25 1/2 poles to a rock corner, Thence North 34 poles to a rock on the North Bank of the branch, thence West with the meanders of the branch to the Beginning, together with all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging, containing forty nine acres and a half, To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with the appurtenances to the said James L. Williams, his heirs & assigns forever & further the said Elijah Arnold warrant and forever defend the right and title of said tract of land against the claim of claims of all and every person or persons whatever, In Witness of the Arnold hath hereunto set his hand & seal, this day and date for it above written. Received 16 Feb 1850 at 1 o'clk PM.

         Personally appeared before me Joseph Winfield clk of the County Court for said County Thomas Stringer & Joseph Steel Subscribing witnesses to the within named deed, who being first sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with Elijah Arnold the bargainer, and that he acknowledged the same in their presence to be his act and deed upon the day it bears date.
