Joshua Arnold to Benj & Wm Pond 23 Aug 1859.
         I Joshua Arnold have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Benjamin and Wm Pond and their heirs forever, for the consideration of Seven hundred and twelve dollars and eighty cents, to me in hand paid, a tract of land in the State of Tennessee Robertson County and District No. 1, Containing by estimation Ninety one acres 2 rods & 28 poles, by the same more or less, and bounded as follows, to wit: Beginning at a stone on the North Bank of Summers Branch thence North 1 degree E. eighty poles to a stone corner in B. Pond's line thence with his line and Thomas D. Bairds line West one hundred fifty two poles to a stone T. D. Baird's corner, thence S. 1 degree west one hundred and thirteen poles to a stone at Summers Branch, thence up said Branch to the beginning. To have and to hold the same to the Benjamin & William Pond their heirs and assigns forever, I do covenant with the said Benjamin & William Pond, that I am Lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is (____) (_____). I do further covenant and bind myself and each of my heirs and representatives to Warrant and forever defend the title to the said Benjamin and William Pond their heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whatever, this day of August 1859.

         Personally appeared before me R. H. Murphey clk of the County Court of said County, P. Payne & D. Payne subscribing witnesses to the foregoing deed on their oaths say they are personally acquainted with Joshua Arnold the within named bargainer and (____) (____) in their presence acknowledged the execution of said deed, to be his act and deed, for the purposes therein contained on the 2nd day of August 1859. Witness my hand at office this 22nd day of August 1859.
