         Know all men by these presents that we John H. Arnold and Clarrisa A. Arnold of the County of Hardiman and State of Tennessee heirs of Thomas Polk dec'd of Robertson County and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of eighty one Dollars to us in hand paid by James J. Polk one of the heirs of the above named dec'd do by these presents relinquish all our right, title, claim, and interest that we now have in and to a certain tract of or parcel of land lying in the County of Robertson it being our part of land belonging to Abigail Dec'd consort of Thomas Polk dec'd to James J. Polk his heirs & assigns forever to which we bind ourselves, our heirs & etc forever, In Testimony whereof we have set our hands & affixed our seals this third day of Jany. 1826.

         I Thomas J. Hardeman Clerk of Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for said County do certify that the within Quit claim deed was produced in open court at said Term and the execution thereof was duly acknowledged by John H. Arnold to be his act and deed and Clarrissa A. Arnold having been privately examined touching her voluntary act freely says that she done the same with her free consent and acknowledged the same to be her act and deed and the same was ordered to be certified for registration.
